(NL10) KK gets re-raised on flop by maniac
I hope you guys don't think I'm spamming since this is my third post today . I've thought a lot about this hands and hope I can develop as a player and really look forward to hearing you opinions. Maniacs always cause me trouble, since I feel they play anything aggressively.
Villain is 90/50/8 over 22 hands. Didn't know it at the time since this is my first orbit (and yes, small sample). I did notice that villain had played every hand while I was at the table and he played them aggressively and even showed that he was bluffing. hand converted by the iPoker Converter at Talking-Poker saw flop Button Button ($33.55) SB ($1.35) BB BB ($1.90) UTG ($9.80) UTG+1 ($6.71) MP ($12.54) MP ($8.65) CO-1 Hero ($12.51) CO ($8.60) Preflop: Hero is in the CO-1 with K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 folds, Hero raises to 0.30, 1 fold, Button calls 0.30, 1 fold, BB calls 0.20. Flop (0.95) T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero bets 1.00, Button raises to 3.00, BB folds, Hero? |

All in any chance I get with a premium hand against this guy. His AF is through the roof. His raise means he has ATC.

Re: (NL10) KK gets re-raised on flop by maniac
Raise more pre flop... (You raised to 0.5 with AQ with another hand I read a second ago... don't be weaker with your strongest hands). With the luxury of hindsight and those stats I would try to get as much in as possible.
I wouldn't feel any pain if I got it all in and he showed a ten afterwards because 9/10 times you will double up against an opponent like that. |

Re: (NL10) KK gets re-raised on flop by maniac
I would probably just call here and let him fire again on the turn; that he is raising with any two hands doesn't mean he is calling allins with any two hands... Definitely not letting this hand go.

I agree with Teddie. He doesn't seem to be the thinking type and you clearly want to get it all in. Let him do the betting, you know he will.

Re: (NL10) KK gets re-raised on flop by maniac
With the maniac yet to act behind you here preflop, I would raise this a little bit more to like .40. You know he is going to give you action so why not get more value out of your kings. Also, you would like to get heads up with villian so a larger raise will cut down on the blinds odds if villain just cold calls behind you. Alternativly , you could just open limp and hope that villain raises and maybe even gets action from the blinds. You can them come over the top with a big reraise. This would obviously be a littler riskier than the first option however. On the flop villains range is so wide so I shove here.
