Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
Against that BB, I call the minraise and probably stack off with any piece of the board. Also, no need to post the flop when your question is about PF action.

Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
U can't fold to the PF minraise from the maniac, but i actually think he has an overpair here pretty often, they usually play KK+ like that sometimes, omg plz dont fold i has a monster !

[ QUOTE ]
they usually play KK+ like that sometimes, [/ QUOTE ] that may be true, but people reminraise me with a lot of 'trouble hands' as well as mediocre aces more often than they do it with big hands. crap like QTo and A9o min3bet me all the time (bad players obv) |

Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
Impossible to say given information in post. At NL100 a minraise could mean AA-QQ from a solid-ish player (still bad imo, hate min raises) to something like JTss from a tricky player to crap like 22 from a donk (put you on AK ldo). I go with HUD stats here and treat accordingly on history. If unknown I tend to stray towards "donk" assumption. Dream flop though

Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
I think you can and you should fold preflop. A7o is the worst hand ever to call a 3bet (even a small one)

Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
calling min reraises against short stacks especially with dominated hands is just asking for trouble since you're not going to c/f top pair, and you're essentially pot commited with just about any decent piece which is a mistake.

Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
Flopping trips was a pretty good way to deal with it ;-)

Re: Dealing with minraises preflop?
I don't know if I'm calling with A7. I'd want a hand that if i flop any piece of the board i'd be happy stacking off with. A pair of 7's isn't enough and we're more often dominated by an Ax hand then when we dominate a 7x hand. Not to mention the fact that he may have higher pocket pairs or the chance he out flops us. I'm calling his min raise with A9+, KT+,QJ+, and 77+.
