river call is probably bad but not sure since you look so weak, check flop weak, 1/2 PSB on turn weak, check river weak. DONT be so weak...Id probably cbet this flop which changes the hand completely.

I bet/fold like 11 on flop.
As played, if yer willing to call his AI on river, might as well go for CRAI on turn & see if he gives you free river card. |

I expect this to be slowplayed KK or AK or an underpair, since as mentioned you look pretty weak here. It's close but getting 2.5-1 I call.

Yea in retrospect this is a weak line. I've been losing a bunch with my big hands (to sets, flushes, etc.) and I've been struggling to lay them down so I played overly cautious.
As it turned out my weak served me well here as he had AQ with the A of hearts and he was drawing on the turn. If I cbet the flop, he probably would have folded, lol. Thoman, we're neighbors, I work in Oaks and live in Lansdale, PA. |

I'd much rather toss out an $8 - $10 feeler on the flop rather than the turn. As played, I think you gotta fold this river. Villian might be reacting to your weakness, and if so I say "nice bet" and fold...if you get a read that he is an aggrotard then this is obv fine.

Your line is very weak, if you had 100bb effective or larger id saying checking flop sometimes is ok. however in this situation you pretty much have to cbet flop and if he calls shut down. if he raises muck.
Your flop check basically shows that you have JJ or QQ and the king scared you. Sometimes I check behind on flop with AK (TPTK) to help induce bluffs from QQ,JJ,TT etc. this looks like what happend to you. |
