Re: Nut flush and nut low draws facing all-in - easy call?
Yes, it's a no brainer. Money goes in.
Edit: There are 12 cards to give you the high nuts, and 20 cards to give you the low nuts. Do you like those odds? Even in a deep stack situation this shouldn't require much though. Especially nice is that lovely 6 on the side, which means that if your opponent also pops a wheelie, he still gets to visit quarter-town. |

Re: Nut flush and nut low draws facing all-in - easy call?
DREAM SITUATION!!!
The only thing that would make it better was if the 6 was a 5 and you would be totally uncounterfeitable... This would be a situation unless SB and I were playing 200+ BB deep I would look to get the money all in...Even if the effective stacks were that big I'd probably look to get it all in here anyway... And DEFINITELY no matter how deep we were I'd look to get it in with AQ35, A high hearts... Keep posting stuff you are having trouble with...That's how I learned to play this game...We've all been in that learning phase...And I would suggest using twodimes.net to figure out equity ranges in hands that you played...This tool was SO valuable to me when I first started playing... |

easy call. Only thing to be scared of is a set with A3 also, and I don't see how you could ever put your opponent on that specific hand. Sure other hands like A359 would also be cause for concern for you, but your opponent's range is so much bigger than these hands here.

Also you're a slight underdog against AA with the nut low draw

Thanks for all the comments.
I did call. He had a set of 9s - I hit the flush and the wheel. He was dead to the low and any low card would (and did) give me that part. |

[/ QUOTE ] You'll find that semi-bluffing is a huge component of this game (PLO8). Many times you'll have nothing on the flop, but your draws make you the favorite. Other times you'll have the invulnerable nuts in one direction and successfully push somebody off of a hand that was good for the other half, but not close enough to the nuts to give them the confidence for a crying call. and Stay out of quartertown, and the low-rent district, sixthville! |

Wasn't talking about the specific hand, just in general. And yes I agree that nearly everyone would raise with AA + a wheel card.
