Thoughts on play at Foxwoods 1/2 NL
This is my first post but I'm a somewhat regular at Foxwoods. Im in the button with As10c. Everyone foldes to the 7 seat who makes it 10 to go and the 8 seat calls. I know the 7 seat is tight and either has a hand like QK, AQ, AJ. I know I can outplay him if blanks come out. The 8 seat is a complete donk. So, knowing this i reraise the pot 40 to go. The 7 seat thinks and calls and the 8 seat thinks ofrever and almost folds but puts his money in, which is an obvious low PP.
Flop is 7s 8s 9c. They both check to me and i make it 70 to go. 7 seat immediately folds and the 8 seat pushes all in for 108 more. So, there's 368 in the pot and im already in for 100 and its 108 more to me. I know the kid has a set and not the straight. So i figure the math is between 25-30 percent and call. I obviously missed because I'm unlucky but do you agree with the call? Also, I had a little over 500 in front of me. PM me or whatever I'm really interested in my play here. |

if you know he has a set and youre getting the right direct odds from the pot, i dont know what is left to be said other than speculation on earlier streets aka 3 betting AT.

Re: Thoughts on play at Foxwoods 1/2 NL
lol yeah the game is real easy me and my friend cash out at lest 500 each when we go. but the preflop I dont agree was bad. like I said i knew the original raiser had a marginal hand and if no face cards came I win the pot. the other kid I knew had a pocket pair he really was such a donk. I was basically trying to steal preflop and knew I could outplay them both on the flop. i wouldnt make this move on a respectable player. but yeah he ended up having 77 for the set like I said, im just debating whether or not the call was break even.
