Just sat so no reads
Full Tilt Poker Pot Limit Omaha Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $192.60 CO: $196 Button: $87.10 SB: $236.90 Hero: $251.45 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 folds, SB raises to $6, Hero calls. River: 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($108, 2 players) SB checks, Hero bets $77 I think the only problem with this is that I wouldn't play the nut flush draw this way. Is this a problem? I'd also like to ask how you generally play stuff like top two or top and bottom with the nut flush draw. Do you keep the pot small hoping to keep worse hands in knowing that not a lot of cards can hurt your hand? Or do you try to get it AI vs a draw that you're a big favorite over with the risk of getting AI vs something like top or second set? |

This is a really read dependent play. If you think he can drop a set of Aces or Kings here go ahead and bet this. The way you've played it the flush draw is a very likely holding for you.

I think you can definitely have the nut flush draw (or lower flush draw here), I think this is good against an unknown.

I think this should work. Don't think you shoulda made it to the river though. I'm folding on the flop and the turn here in your spot.

the problem with playing your hand like this is better opponents will soon figure you out and begin to bet into you with draws and then check when they hit
as played the flop call is ok, but the turn is poor - ignoring that you might be able to win on the river with a bluff, your 6 clean outs mean you would need to win $156 on the river for this to be a =EV play - even if we count the flush cards as 'outs' you are still only 1.93-1 to hit, assuming he dosent have blockers and the pot is laying you 2-1 |
