Commerce 20
Villian here seems pretty laggy, saw him earlier 3 betting light otb with K10s, and 72s. I am in seat 9 with AAs utg, and raised, seat 1, villian otb, and sb all called. Flop, 10, 8, 7 rainbow. SB checks, I bet, seat 1 folds, button called, sb called. Turn 9 completes the rainbow, I bet, villian raised, SB folds, I 3...???

Re: Commerce 20
I assume you're planning to fold to a 4?
I prefer just calling the raise and c/c'ing the river against the opponent described. |

Re: Commerce 20
you are three betting out of position. i HATE this. this is like FPS at its worse. you are legitimately behind most hands that will be raising, even from this guy. I much rather check/call/call(gives them a chance to bluff) or bet/call/call (if they are capable of bluffing, which this guy seems to be).
my default play however is definitely check/fold or bet/fold depending on the player(s) involved. i think its important to realize that the hand wasn't HU on the turn. this is a pretty expensive bluff for this guy to be doing when the SB could easily wake up with a straight and cold call two/make it three bets. |

Again the Sklansky line for the turn: check hands that have outs and bet hands that if already beaten have no outs. You have no outs. Bet/fold. |

Re: Commerce 20
WTF? The board is T-9-8-7 and you want to 3-bet out of position with AA?

Re: Commerce 20
if 3 betting is bad, which I am aware it is, what's the ideal line from this point, c/c river, assuming u called the turn raised? Who calls the turn raised here.
Btw, SB folded to button's raise, if that wasn't clear from earlier post |

Re: Commerce 20
Check the turn. And remember, just because a player occasionally gets out of line does not mean he is always out of line. It is also not uncommon to see a player get out of line preflop, but stay fairly reasonable when the bets get bigger.

Re: Commerce 20
So is check the turn is better than betting, even if it's HU?

Re: Commerce 20
Heads up is a different story. I think a bet is ok when against one opponent.
