Re: FTP $535 Fold The Nut Straight
How many chips do you have left after your river bet?
Would checking the river be bad? Seems like if you are folding to a raise you might as well just check/call, I think the chips you lose when you bet are worth too much to jusitify betting for value against the few worse hands that will call. Edit: Is this a STT or ring!? The title and post don't seem to match. |

Re: FTP $535 Fold The Nut Straight
Pudge, the way he played the hand seems very odd for either spades (though A7s is possible, I suppose), a set, or two pair, no? No line really makes sense...does he really c/c the turn on this board with those hands? A7s is the only thing that makes a modicum of sense. I'm feeling 9T, and call.

Re: FTP $535 Fold The Nut Straight
Call.
He has T9. Or busted draw obviously. The only other hands that make sense with the 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] out is something like T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] or maybe 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Full house is incredibly unlikely with him c/c'ing that drawtastic turn unless he is an incredible super nit and decided to put you on exactly QT after your flop call and c/c 97. |

Re: FTP $535 Fold The Nut Straight
Also, why would u have to be a super nit to check 79 there? it would be borderline dumb to bet, really. ppl arent necessary 'nits' in these tournies but two pair here certainly isnt the nuts and they dont value bet here with it often.

[/ QUOTE ] It's a limped pot in LP with a board hitting every single draw out there. Two pair is an extremely strong hand. Based on your posts in this thread and the thread you started it is very clear that unless you are willing to take shots with negative equity in order to learn how to play MTTs well you would be better off learning at lower stakes. |

[/ QUOTE ] read post below, and relax. most people in the 500's dont 'suck at poker'. at these stakes, ive seen people check two pair there all the time with the blinds thise low. your basically putting him on an exact hand and saying call, using that as your full justification. imo its far more likely he has a boat/flush here than 910, the only close to reasonable hand he makes it here with, besides a total bluff, that check raises river. |
