How does it work? Does it lift out of the table and put the cards in? Does it shuffle 1 deck while a second deck is in play?

Dealer presses button, top lifts to reveal two trays for two separate decks, one with shuffled deck, the other empty.

Dealer puts in deck to be shuffled, removes shuffled deck for next hand, then presses button to close autoshuffler.

Players, dealer, casino, Shufflemaster (NASDAQ SHFL) profit.

skitzo444 - have you ever played live before? If so, which card rooms have you visited? I ask only because some of your past threads combined with this one made me wonder, knowing your experiance will help me respond better in the future. Thanks.

I have played a few times live but only at The Trop in AC. They currently do not have auto-shufflers. So from the looks of that I thought it might be some sort of card scanner or possible an RFID scanner in the table.

Thanks for the help.

To my knowlege there arent RFID scanners installed into poker room tables yet, but you are right - it will happen someday soon enough.

Looks like a garden-variety pattern mapper to me.
