Difficulty with pp
Need some help with small pocket pairs against a raiser - in 6 max game.
1. MP raises (about 25/15/3 player), I call in BB with 66. Flop comes 9 7 2 rainbow. I'm thinking I might be good, but out of position how do i play? Give up? lead out? CR and fold if action? 2. Same as above only I called on the button. MP raises, I called, 9 7 2 rainbow. I have 66. Seems like when I play strong with these type of hands, I get raised for stacks and have to fold. Thx |

Re: Difficulty with pp
1) I don't like leading out because if he raises you have to fold. Instead I float this flop and see what he does on the turn.
2) I sometimes will raise here or other times will float. Moral: Float more. Most villians at this level (100NL & 200NL) won't fire two barrels with high-cards. |

Re: Difficulty with pp
Definitely float more in position.
OOP is much more difficult, as is extracting value if you actually hit your set, which is why a PP in the blinds is often so difficult to play. |
