2-7TD - early smooth 9 OOP
CO kind of sucks and frequently draws to rough hands, but is at least aggressive about it. Don't know much about MP.
I catch a good hand drawing 3 OOP. Is it better to check-raise any hand I decide to stay pat with here? After reviewing this hand I have to think that drawing is a much better option. How should the betting have gone on the 2nd round? Triple Draw 2-7 Lowball Limit ($0.50/$1) (converter) SB ($19.50), Seat 3 Hero ($37.50), Seat 4 UTG ($44.45), Seat 5 MP ($12.65), Seat 6 CO ($12.35), Seat 1 Button ($42.05), Seat 2 Button at Seat 2. SB posts $0.25. Hero posts $0.50. Re: 2-7TD - early smooth 9 OOP
I wouldn't have 3 bet Round 2. You're either a small favorite against the other two (equity of maybe 40% against two 1 card draws) or you're dead against a pat 8. Everything else is fine.
Also, a preemptive lol against anyone worrying about us exposing our hand as rough by not 3-betting. This is .50-1. |

This is a good way to play the hand. It's also reasonable to call the first raise and break.

Re: 2-7TD - early smooth 9 OOP
how come you are posting 300/600 hands followed by 50c/1 hands? Also, is the former from UB and are those games running again much at the moment?

Re: 2-7TD - early smooth 9 OOP
i actually like the 3-bet with the 9. many times we're getting raised by MP just because we drew 3 to start. a 3-bet is a nice aggressive line if we might be able to push someone out. that and it solidfies our position of staying pat - hopefully forcing our opponents to draw harder than they actually do.
