a few questions on readings.......
please share your opinions and experiences in regards to these questions...
i havent yet read brunsons supersystem book(s) and i was wondering if i should read 1 and 2 or if 2 is just an updated version/revision of 1. under one book review i read that it is just an updated version. are there huge differences between the two? (aka - do i need to read both or can ijust read 2?) on another title: the full tilt poker strategy guide: tournament addition. has anyone read this and is it legit? ive read all three HOH's, and NLHE: TAP, ive read Theory of poker, and small stakes hold em. i also read the forum, but i dont know what to go on reading next. i would like to only focus on no limit hold em, and mostly STT, cash games, or MTT, i that order. any suggestions on the books i listed and/or what i should go on to reading next? (i already read alot of the forums) thanks |

Re: a few questions on readings.......
Skip Super System 1 and 2.
Full Tilt Guide is good. I'd also consider Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, Pot Limit & No Limit Poker, and Tournament Poker for Advanced Players. |

Re: a few questions on readings.......
I also would not bother with SS. Try to find it in a library and read the NL chapter. It's kind of interesting, but you won't exactly know how to play NL well after reading it.

Re: a few questions on readings.......
i was debating between the full tilt guide, tournament poker for advanced players, and hold em poker for advanced players.
i need a good book about cash games and one to help tighten up my STT game. i think ill try the full tilt guide. i was looking through the full tilt guide, however, and i saw someones made up hand rankings chart (i think it might have been andy blochs but im not sure) and there were some weird hands ranked higher than ones i thought know are in a higher % of hands... so it detered me from buying it. i dunno |

Re: a few questions on readings.......
Read SSI if you're a stud or beginning stud player. Otherwise go with SSII if you want to read the NL section.

Re: a few questions on readings.......
Do you have sit and go power tools? If not, I think that is the biggest addition to and snger's study. Also look into bubble trainer. SS1 and 2 wont help with sngs at all. In NLHTAP there is a call range chart that I have found to be valuable for sngs.
