King high river decision (NL$1000)
Villain is 29/14/1.7 (50) so fairly meaningless stats.
I'm so short because I buy in for $400 and play till its gone. It's part of a planning and managed short-stack system I'm using to try and build a bankroll at a quicker rate than grinding. Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter) SB: $1,074.80 BB: $615.00 UTG: $359.75 MP: $1,182.00 CO: $1,828.60 Hero (BTN): $211.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) 3 folds, Hero raises to $35.00, SB folds, BB calls $25.00 Flop: ($75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB checks, Hero bets $65.00, BB calls $65.00 Turn: ($205) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB checks, Hero checks River: ($205) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB bets $205.00 Hero? |

Re: King high river decision (NL$1000)
You wanna call with king high?
Other than that I dont think a shortstack system is good for building bankroll, you will have a ton of variance with all the preflop allins you can't avoid. |

what do you put him on? [/ QUOTE ] Agree, those suggesting fold what is his range in your opinion? Point taken re: short stacked play, Ed Holis has had zero success afterall |

Re: King high river decision (NL$1000)
Update
I called and lost to Ad,xd which was the hand I figured to be most likely. That was a specific read/fear but my estimations of his range were far wider which is why I called. As PFR'er that ace has a reasonable probability of having hit me. If he was calling with a piece of the board or PP on the flop then he is turning a hand with some SD value into a pure bluff. I find it doubtful he ever bets one pair here like this and I don't think he calls the flop with a naked ace. He may have played 99 in this manner but I think he plays missed flushes and a number of other non-paired hands in this manner. I think he makes this bluff around 1/3rd of the time given the way the hand has been played and 2/3rds the time I expect to see 99, A4, A2, Adxd. Agree/disagree? |

[ QUOTE ] Fold the hand obv. [/ QUOTE ] what do you put him on? [/ QUOTE ] Itīs not like the ace is the greatest of bluffcards for villain and therefore I think he is valuebetting here almost always. |

Re: King high river decision (NL$1000)
