Would the old UB Hand history solution work for the Full Tilt lag?

I remember a while back when UB changed their hand history format, making it all but impossible to import hands into PT. So someone realized that if you deleted one small file, the software wouldn't automatically update and people were able to reinstall the older version and continue playing as if there had never been an update. Wouldn't it be possible to do this with Full Tilt?
