Learning ALL OVER again
I've totally forgotten how to play, and it is costing me.

Re: Learning ALL OVER again
I think the problem was you never did learn in the first place.
Raise preflop if you're gonna play. Don't open limp in MP. Looks like someone tried iso-raising you cause you're such a fish. Rest is fine. |

Re: Learning ALL OVER again
would anyone here suggest rather a C/R on the turn? or as played, after he's being raised behind, would it be nuts to 3-bet an unknown with a middle TPTK?
I'd say here I'd feel happier about hitting the 9 than if I'd hit the ace, for obvious reasons... |

Re: Learning ALL OVER again
I don't like a first limp in from middel or late position for me is always a raise or fold but it's not a mistake to do so.
Flop Turn and River I play it the same |

Re: Learning ALL OVER again
if you are in MP and it is limped to you and you want to play...pound that RAISE button. Any tough decisions in this hand were in part caused by poor play on previous streets.
ExpressGM, Im assuming you typed this out manually and good stuff for getting it pretty well right.....but Im going to suggest to you it would be a worthwhile exercise for you to work out the pot odds you are being presented on the important streets versus how many outs you give yourself. You can also try and put the PFRer on a range and narrow it down. It will be harder to put the PFRer on a hand since you just limped preflop but still, do it for your benefit. also, and Im talking bigger picture now...if you want to get better you need to do more than just post your own hands without reads. Get involved in the forums, reply to a lot more threads that you start, be wrong, get corrected, understand that this is an internet board and that whilst people will give advice they arent necessarily going to hold your hand and walk you across the street. You gotta develop some sort of thick skin to survive in the pokerworld...this is a poker forum and honestly, the Micros is a nice place to make your home base. Any here a hint: Those people who tell you off are very likely actually fine posters and fine poker players who've seen it all before so if you look past what you consider to be rudeness youll see some wisdom. Some of the best lessons come from when we are scalded and burned because that memory sticks. you might want to also check out the FAQ and Micro limit wiki that lives it in. mkay? goodluck, ozi |

Re: Learning ALL OVER again
Raise preflop. As played, why did you peel the flop? What are your odds? How many outs do you have?

Re: Learning ALL OVER again
Fold the flop. You need position to have any chance here...which you don't have.
Probably would have folded PF (but I know this is one of my many leaks). |
