Tilt 22k deep stack spot
A round or two in to the tilt 22k 75 buy in. starting stacks 3k, villain and I are basically unmoved from starting stack.
Hero holds Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the hijack. Blinds 15/30 Preflop: Folds to hero, hero raises to 90, CO calls, folds to BB, BB reraises to 360,hero calls, CO folds. Flop: J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] BB checks, Hero? Whats my line/plan?? |

Re: Tilt 22k deep stack spot
I think you gotta bet to find out where you're at. He could have been getting fancy with a few different hands pf. also could have AK. I'll bet 2/3 pot, fold to a c/r and re-evaluate the turn if he calls.

Re: Tilt 22k deep stack spot
I'd check the flop. If he has somewhat std reraising range of TT+/AQ+, you are in a spot where you are drawing thin vs AA/KK/JJ/TT. AK has 6 outs and a Q could win you a monster pot and AQ has 7 outs. So, I think giving/taking a free card is good here.
edit: I can't count outs. Corrected. |

Re: Tilt 22k deep stack spot
Cool. Lets advance the hand.
Flop: BB checks, hero checks. Turn: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (pot 825) BB bets 480, hero calls. River: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (pot 1785) BB bets 1080, hero calls. Everything look good? Am i missing value or failing to protect my hand at all? |

Re: Tilt 22k deep stack spot
what hands do you eliminate/add to his range as you play each street and what do you think he most likely fires 1080 on the river with?

Re: Tilt 22k deep stack spot
Not missing value. Its a good way to play QQ in that spot.
Someone said AQ has 10 outs? 3 aces and 4 kings....where are the 10 outs? The river jack is a smooth call because KK AA can easily check this flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think it's good up until the river. You're getting 2.65-1. Your hand is just a bluff catcher now, I don't see where you lost any value on a street. The question is whether to pay off or not. I think villians range is AA/KK/QQ and then bluffs with AK/AQ and w/e else. Given flop check, I really don't think he is bluffing often in this spot with AK/AQ and we are facing a bigger pair here a lot. I think the most likely scenario is that: on the flop I think he goes for a little pot control oop with the paired board holding AA-QQ. On the turn, he bets for value. By the river, he's sure he's got the best hand and we are headed to value town. So, I think it's a fold, but I might call because I'm a station. |
