Planet Poker, R.I.P.
Planet Poker announced today that they are ceasing real-money operations effective March 31. The games had pretty much died anyway, but this takes away one place to play 5CD and a rare place to play Badugi. Planet used to have Razz and A-5 Lowball back in its heyday.
It was the first site I had consistent success at and it's where I developed my taste for draw games. gg lol tyvm |

Re: Planet Poker, R.I.P.
I'm American. I really didn't play a lot on Planet as PokerStars already gets most of my action. I'd seen several of the old Planet draw game regulars on Stars over the past few months.
As far as the Planet regulars who were exclusive, I'm not sure where they are going. Planet has worked out a deal with Bodog where you can transfer your Planet roll to Bodog and get a Bodog bonus. I don't know if that's where the low stakes Planet gang will end up-seems kind of a change. I did run across a bunch of the JetSetters on Full Tilt recently. |

Too bad, this was the first site I ever played on back in 2000.
