(1/2) KK on coordinated flop
Hi,
I thought this hand was a little tricky due to the fact that the opener raised PF and called a big bet and also the all [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] flop. What does everyone think of my line of play here? Re: (1/2) KK on coordinated flop
More than a min-raise PRF, especially from out of position. Jack it up to maybe $25, $30 PRF.
On the flop, the fact that you have the K of spades is crucial. With that fact in hand, I think you can bet with confidence on all three streets. I like a pot-sized bet on both the flop and turn, as it appears villian has a weak hand that is, at best, drawing, and you need to punish that. On the river, I would still pot it (or a little bit less than pot), as you have 2nd nut flush and may get paid off by a lesser flush; you have no reason to give villian credit for nut flush here. In all, I think you played it too timidly and you could probably make a lot more money off this type of hand. |

Re: (1/2) KK on coordinated flop
I would consider raising to $100 on the River. Before you do that, you have to decide if youre calling a push from the villain. If you would, then raise it on the river.
I don't mind the turn check, you didn't want to build a big pot with 3 spades on the flop. |

Re: (1/2) KK on coordinated flop
Preflop: No one ever folds to a min raise preflop, gotta make it $24-32 to go preflop, any hand you want to call you isn't going anywhere.
Bet pot on flop. Shove on turn. If he would have had a naked As he would have only had to call one pot sized bet on the flop to get there and you each have pretty big stacks. Keep extracting on the turn and he ends up having the perfect hand to pay you off. Check/calling down after flop on this board is really weak and normally not a good thing with KK |

raise more PF, then get the money in on turn. [/ QUOTE ] On the turn I have $201. So you are suggesting I bet $201 into an $89 pot? Why do you like to make such a massive overbet? Why should I give away my entire stack to a made flush? Suerte, Jonathan |
