(NL) Is this one of those rare occasions where you should slowplay?
MP is 20/14/7, CO is 29/7.6/2.4
Considering how aggressive they are, should I just let them bet. Or should I hope CO is slowplaying a Q and reraise? Raises now..and try to build a big pot if one or both have the Q.
I dont think you will make much on this hand unless one of them has a Queen, as there are no other straight or flush draws. I'd consider slowplaying it if there were some draws out there. |

Re: (NL) Is this one of those rare occasions where you should slowplay
Slowplaying is gonna be tough here cuz there's no draw for someone else to make a good 2nd best hand. I would probably play it fast and hope someone has a queen or decides AA or KK is good. If you lead and some one behind you has AQ you'll win a nice pot (if your hand holds up). If someone has AA or KK they aren't likely to bet the turn after 2 calls. You'll only win more by slowplaying if the guy has nothing and cbets. Might as well assume your against AA/KK or AQ. Besides, leading out confuses people.

lead or c/r. c/r is ok because it is a multiway pot, and you can hope that one of them holds a Q and there will be some dead money in the pot from teh other person.

Re: (NL) Is this one of those rare occasions where you should slowplay
read the supersystem setion on underfulls.
the only way ur winning a large pot is by catching someone with a queen. Id raise flop very hard here, and overbet shove turn if i can put someone on a queen. Almost nobody at these stakes is folding a queen here and it looks like someone has one... |

always lead out.
wether your cbetting or have a big hand. that way they cant put u on a hand and can easily pick up small pots. You'll win a big pot here if they have any piece but otherwise you'll pickup another small pot, which all adds up. |

People stack off with trip queens all the time. Especially when they flop trip queens. These guys both seem quite nitty, a check raise is absolutely out of the question IMO. You'll blow them out most of the time. I call and lead the turn, you don't look very strong that way. Leading the flop is probably OK too...depending on how often they fold paired boards/or playback. The problem with check raising here is that it shows a ton of strength and they aren't very committed to the pot. If you call and lead turn, you haven't showed strength yet, and if they raise for value, at that point their pretty pot stuck when you shove... |
