AK UI on 3 flush turn OOP
40/25 over 30. Have a note about bluffraising the turn.

Re: AK UI on 3 flush turn OOP
Check the flop. After a pfr, it looks like trapping. If he bets out, cut your losses and fold -- plug the notorious AK ui leak. If he checks behind, come out betting on the turn.

I'd bet. If he doesn't have a good spade or a Ten he will be hard pressed to call. I'd fold to a raise.

Re: checking to represent a trap.
FWIW, dude who posted that, you will get run over like a 6 year old in Billy Joel's driveway if you play like that. I'm not saying do it everytime, but it works constantly for me. You need to set it up with lots of aggression, which is what makes your check look suspicious. True, it would not work against an auto-aggressive table. But you cannot bet out every single ui AK, AQ, especially when they caught you at it two hands ago. It works best against intermediate players who know to watch for slow play. This move can also protect you from getting reraised on ragged boards that they know did not hit you. Haven't you ever reraised a ragged board with air because you know it missed the AK preflop raiser? If they check instead, you have to worry about being trapped by sets and pocket pairs, or a just made flush. I'd like to know the screen names of players whose only move is aggression. |

OK. He checked through and I valuebet a blank river. [/ QUOTE ] I'd rather check and let the bluffer bluff. I suppose since you showed weakness on the turn he could call you with A high, but he also might raise the river as a bluff (were you bet calling?) here since he's already shown he's capable. So, that is to say I'm not sure what the best play is. |
