Re: Preflop survey --- 5 hands ez quick
I) Your converter sucks
II) 4 < 5 1) Call 2) Fold 3) Call 4) Raise/Fold I think those are the common and safe choices. You could play it differently, depending on your style. |

Re: Preflop survey --- 5 hands ez quick
1. Any reads on UTG? What does his limp likely mean? That will determine whether you can Call or not. Also what is the Buy-in for these tourneys? It makes a difference.
2. Easy fold 3. Call 4. Fold |

Re: Preflop survey --- 5 hands ez quick
HAND 1: This is a fold. Stacks aren't deep enough to play for the additional flush value or FE. And although you'll have position on the SB, you've HORRIBLE relative and absolute position when the UTG and CO come along for the ride.
HAND 2: Fold. UTG+1 raise and call shows weigh to much strength to be playing a marginal drawing hand oop. And once again it probably isn't deep enough. Hand 3: I think a call and fold are both fine. but the really sexy move is a raise to 2400 and fold to a push. However, this requires some reads. Hand 4: This is tough because you want to play the hand and you need to accumulate chips, but you're in first position and there are some short stacks behind you and if they come over the top of your raise then you need to call and that could hurt your stack. Limping is ok, but once again you could easily get raised by a shorty and have to fold. I'd either limp or fold. Probably lean toward fold. |

Re: Preflop survey --- 5 hands ez quick
sorry about the convertor issues here
I had a fifth hand at some point...not sure where it went all hands are from a $4/180 and the UTG limp in that one hand COULD obv be a hand, but I have no real reason to be worried. |

Re: Preflop survey --- 5 hands ez quick
I got #2 wrong...
Surprised people are talking about folding #3, honestly. I agree w/Nath on #1 too. Call, but take either pair slow. Awesome. Thanks guys. More of these to come. Trying to tweak this [censored] out. (Don't let this 'thanks' stop you from replying your input if you see this) |

Re: Preflop survey --- 5 hands ez quick
on #3:
when u call a preflop raise based on implied odds, u have to figure your chips will be made off of the preflop raiser. in this spot the preflop raiser has very few chips so your implied odds are low. also he will often play the flop aggressively since the pot will be big relative to his stack, so u cant really play ur draws very profitably unless u semibluff but that will be risky as you're oop and wont really know where the other players are at when u flop a draw. not saying its right or wrong but that's my rationale for folding... |
