road trip suggestions?
me and a friend are taking off for 5-7 days. we have no plans yet. We leave from san francisco area. We are 18, like girls, and may be looking for psychedelics (quick trip to haight?). I think we might go to portland-seattle-vancouver or something like that... not sure.
We will only be bringing guitar/bass, clothes, and money, and want to emphasize lack of planning on our trip. But still. Any suggestions will be considere.d Oh yeah, we dont wanna go to socal or mexico. |

Re: road trip suggestions?
Make it a multi stop: Portland, Seattle, Vancouver. If you have to pick just one, definitely Vancouver.

Re: road trip suggestions?
going all the way to vancouver might be a little too much driving for a 5-7 day road trip. it's gonna be like 15 hours of hardcore driving (no stopping except to get gas) to get there, plus 15 hours to drive back, and generally when i go on roadtrips i don't enjoy hardcore driving, i prefer to take it easy and make frequent stops, etc. but that's personal preference, i don't know how you feel about that.
my recommendation would be to go to seattle and back (that's 24 hours of driving instead of 30, so 20% less driving), and take it slow and enjoy yourself. there is easily 2-3 days of stuff to do each in portland and seattle. |

Re: road trip suggestions?
going north to canada is a good choice if youhave your passports. the portland- seattle- vancouver route can be pretty entertaining.
but being under 21 im not really sure what kind of activities yoru going to be able to find unless you do a little plannin ahead of time... this is exactly rollar-coaster/theme-park territory. |
