Calling FOR MY STACK with middle pair vs a complete maniac, standard?
Edit-- An attempt to make a catchier title.
Villian is Maniac McManiac. He pushes everything from top pair, to draws, to nothing. I've stacked him once already with a set and I feel like he's tilting here. Standard? 5 handed Hero has 1108, Villian has a lil over 400 I think. Fold, Hero raises UTG+1 to 20 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Cstation huge stack calls, VIllian calls in the sb, bb folds. Flop-- 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villian checks, Hero bets 50, big stack folds, Villian calls. . Turn-- 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian bets 107.24, Hero calls. River-- 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Villian pushes for 253.10, Hero calls. Good stuff? |

Re: Calling FOR MY STACK with middle pair vs a complete maniac, stand
standard. just a quick question tho, villain seems to have 430ish if he pushes for 253.10 at the end.
just to clarify, is this 2/4 or 3/6? |

These situations are 95% down to reads on the situation. If you feel he's tilting, do it. At worst, you'll lose and your future reads will be better.
I'd be more tempted to reraise him at some point, I really don't like calling on two streets on this hand. |

A lot of people make the mistake of equating a "random hand" and "nothing"; in reality the random hand is rarely drawing dead on the turn. Board: 3d 8h Td 7h equity (%) 68 % { As8s } 32 % { random } |

Re: Calling FOR MY STACK with middle pair vs a complete maniac, stand
there are way too many river cards that ruin your hand; you must raise or fold on the turn
I would fold, although I wasn't there; if you really, really think this donk is just tilt, then a shove could be pretty profitable |

Re: Calling FOR MY STACK with middle pair vs a complete maniac, stand
I feel if villain is willing to fire river with air 100% of the time, then calling turn is good.
its a high variance way to play but fairly profitable. |

Re: Calling FOR MY STACK with middle pair vs a complete maniac, stand
I think a raise on the turn is a better play here. It prevents the 3rd heart, 3rd diamond etc. Since this donkey will play just about anything, you want him to see less cards, not more. Credit for putting yourself on the winner and seeing it through.
