Default Packers sign Woodson

Great. The Packers' best players on each side of the ball are either too old or too hurt.

This might be the NFL's worst non-Redskins signing in a decade. $50+ million?

It's basically a 3 year, $18 million deal from what I have read.

That's correct.
The full term of any NFL deal is meaningless.

I've even heard they didn't give him a traditional signing bonus but frontloaded the contract with roster bonuses. He'll make 10+ million the first year but they won't take any hit if they cut him after that and the base salaries will be reasonable for the next few years.

The packers are pretty far under the cap if I remember and there aren't even many people left to sign, so if the deal doesn't have long-term cap implications they might as well go ahead and waste the money.
Maybe Favre can go out 6-10 instead of 5-11.

Is he going to be playing their squat corner? I really can't see him doing anything than sitting in zone coverages. But I am not very familiar with the Pack's defense. But, if Woodson is healthy enough, him and Al Harris will be major impacts on that defense.

This is still about $16 to $17 million too much.
