I really have mixed feelings about how this hand should go. Maybe it reflects my struggles of recent.

Whats your thoughts on how to react? Villian had been very ABC up until now. Nothing out of line. If I raise him, I'm committing myself essentially?

I'd call. A decent player will fold AQ to your re-raise, but might not be able to get away on an A high flop. I'd need a pretty strong read to fold.

If you make a large enough raise, then yes, it looks like it would pretty well commit you to the hand. I don't think a raise of less than half your stack will get him off of any hand.

I like to call here too. If you miss the flop, you can still get away from the hand with enough chips to work with later (16-17 BB left). Of course, I'm a weak tight wus, so a more aggressive player may give you a better line, maybe push, maybe stop and go...

This is a situation where I think I'd move in. But maybe flat calling and seeing how he plays the flop is more optimal. Not sure myself.
