Default Ax on the SB against TAG

Button is a very good player and a regular at SH games at Prima.

Prima Poker skin
Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $5.00/$10
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) holdemgr is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
2 folds, Button raises, holdemgr calls, BB folds.

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5SB, 2 players)
holdemgr checks, Button bets, holdemgr calls.

Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3.5BB, 2 players)
holdemgr checks, Button checks.

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3.5BB, 2 players)
holdemgr checks, Button bets, holdemgr raises

I figure he will value bet a lower pair on the river and call a raise as my play looks unusual and suspicious.

i dont like preflop

postflop is good. he will value bet QJ and KQ here. if he 3-bets he has KJ, QQ, or J9 and you must fold

I need a really good read to pull that river C/R. It sounds like you had one, nice play.

i dont see why you need a good read

KQ and QJ value bet. KK value bets. 99 and worse pockets fold. JJ is probably the only hand that calls but doesnt bet, and you never give him a chance to try to bluff bet some crap.

i went over most of the hands that matter. i wasnt trying to go over his whole range.

it's best to check when he has two unpaired cards anyway.

I just C/R this flop I think. We're always posting hands about what to do with a gutshot or whatever on an Ace high flop and worrying about villian not giving us credit for the Ace when we C/R. But here you actually got it so I play it the same way. Sure the board is dry but you may be surprised at what he'll call you with. It's not like a check/call on that flop is going to look any less suspicious to him, which is why he checked the turn behind.

I'm not feeling preflop. I fold or three bet.

I'm kinda digging the river checkraise.

OK I'm a nit. Yeah I don't mind the river the way the other streets played out.
