Default KJo BB 6h

6 handed. villain is your standard high limit lag/tag. probably like 35/25 preflop .

Anyways, he opens on the button, I call in the BB with KsJc

Flop AsQs3s. I decide to mix it up and bet. He raises, I call.

Turn 9o

River 4s

Do you think he'll call your c/r without a spade?

Who cares? He either has a spade (which will very likely bet when checked to) or a hand which will fold to a bet anyways. Or maybe he's a supadupa player and checks behind a low spade here. Maybe that's why baron posted. Otherwise this is really very standard.

i don't. it's a very exploitable move. he can delay raise you, raise for a free card/showdown, slowplay you, etc. i'd like it more if you had a weaker gutter, but no reason to push with the nut no pair

I'm with Josh, I don't really see what it accomplishes, because it looks like you weren't trying to run him off a pair.

What are your turn actions when he just calls the flop?

Id 3bet preflop since I'm destroying his range.

Since you "slowplayed" preflop why not checkraise the flop like you jesus h christ does? If he 3bets you you can spew more chips cap his azz and bet all the way like a faaaacking gangster (though this is not always advised). The donkbet just screams "I have a draw and I am not yet man enough to check-raise with it"

I care. If he checks through with one pair but would have called a bet with it then I think checkraising is a mistake.
