Default (27) Questioning AA

I'm wondering if you do anything different. Bet sizes, push the turn, bet the river...how would you play it?

With no reads I probably would have folded the turn pretty easy. You really don't know where you are at in this hand and when someone min-riases me with a very coordinated board I tend to play on the safe side. This situation comes up alot in NL cash and from what I'v seen it is never correct to call down, (unless this were a lower buyin like the 11's).

Folding the turn here in a 27 is a huge leak. Sure you run into a set from time to time and even a donk with a straight. But you are ahead more often, and we want this pot. People "put you on AK" way too often to get away from this.

If he is putting you on AK, why is he just calling the flop bet, unless he can afford to give you a free card? I'm not saying its impossible that you are far ahead, but what hand is just calling a flop bet, then min c/ring on the turn after you have shown strength on every street? I really don't see how you can hope to be ahead most of the time. Please explain why my thinking is wrong plz.

TT-KK. Axs. A9. And a whole lot of hands that make you shake you head when the cards are turned over.

Your thinking isn't necessary wrong. What is wrong is believing villain will have a working brain most of the time.

Dunno, maybe pokerstars has alot more tricky players than PartyPoker (i wouldn't know) but most of the time people aren't making plays here like calling a flop bet with Axs and then hoping to steal the pot away on the turn with their bottom pair etc, as well as just coldcalling with TT-KK preflop. I rarely see people CC with TT-KK preflop from such an early position and so many people left to act behind them. O well, agree to disagree i suppose, would be nice to get some feedback from some other posters as well.

I'm not saying they are "tricky". I'm saying they suck. Convince themself whatever crap they hold is beating you, etc.

All this goes for unknowns off course, a read may change all of this.

My stack is finding its way in here, on the turn.

No read Melch...only about 7 hands in. Although his stats showed a looseness about him (something like 30% VPIP in 7 hands FWIW.)

Melch, would you do anything different here?

I often push the turn over that gayraise. But I don't think that changes anything.
