All:

giving "dat" no longer occurs? I need help with these things apparently.

(I also have not had anything to drink yet this morning. I really am curious, as I had a buddy of mine this morning walk up to me and give me the close fist bump. I believe this is called giving "dat". Am I incorrect? Is this lame?)

Shajen,

I always thought it was called giving "a pound."

Edit: Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure I just inferred this is what MCA meant in the Beastie song Root Down when he said "Jimmy Smith is my man, I wanna give him a pound," and ran with it.
