Frostbite?
I think I may have frostbite and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
Story: I went sking yesterday with horrible gloves and my fingers went numb. Got in the hot tub (97 deg) after sking for like an hour. Got hammered at local bar and was up late. Woke up with tingling fingers and went sking again today with better gloves and they were warm the whole time. Right now the tingling is getting more intense when I touch something. Fingers are red at the tips where they are tingling but not blue or black. Anyne have any advice besides go to an er? |

Re: Frostbite?
"Frostbite — Local cold-induced injury, primarily of the face and extremities, can result from any degree of hypothermia. Local injuries vary in severity, and may require extensive hospitalization and surgical intervention
* Frostnip refers to transient tingling and numbness without associated permanent tissue damage. * Superficial frostbite injuries are limited to the skin and subcutaneous tissues, and cause pallor, edema, blistering, and desquamation." |
