Default what kind of bankroll do I need to play SH limit?

I'm a pretty good limit player, with NO SHLHE experience. What's the standard roll for playing say, 3 tables?
Thanks.

This depends on so many things. 500BB is a good general number IMO.

But you do it with less.

If you need to money you make from poker/rakeback then you need at least 800 or 900, and you should continue to grow it.

I really don't think starting with 3 tables is a good idea if you haven't played shorthanded before. As for roll, I think 500-1000BB depending on whether you can reload, are willing to move down etc. etc.

And no, I don't mean per table.

Good point. I would be playing 2 tables of 1/2 6-max. So 1k should be sufficient to start? I want to learn to play to improve my full game, and because by most accounts 6-max is fishier than full small-stakes these days.

I think 500 BB is fine for starting out. It doesn't really matter how many tables you play, as that won't affect the basic amount of money you need. However, most people's winrate suffers slightly after a certain point, which can raise your variance. Good luck. I encourage you to read the sticky at the top on shorthanded play, it has a ton of useful links on the topic.
