Default BEAT: I have to see my family at holiday time

I have stepfather who is a decent guy but his kids are just suck at life. His son, my stepbrother, is like 38 and hasn’t worked in six years, just to give you an idea. Anyhow, my stepbrother has come to town for Thanksgiving with his girlfriend that supports him. Bad times.

Tonight my mom was sort of staging the cooking for tomorrow. She’s prepping the turkey and that sort of thing. We’re hanging out in the kitchen, talking about sports and stuff, my stepdad, brother, stepbrother and me. Stepbrother’s girlfriend is helping my mom do the turkey and stuff and compliments her on her sweater. Says it’s cute or something like that. Greg (stepbrother) overhears this and just has to chime in with:

“I don’t think that color looks good on you.” What a dick. So my stepdad is like “that wasn’t very nice” and Greg won’t let it go. He insists that he was right, and he can’t seem to understand that even if he was right he shouldn’t be saying it.

I stayed out of it, but then Greg says, “Look, it’s not my fault you have bad taste.” At that point I can’t hold back anymore and I go, “[censored] you. You come off as a person even a pedophile would look down upon. Stick your teepee up your ass, your dad is filming. Quick though, Walmart won't let you borrow the camcorder forever.”
