100NL - Small pocket pairs OOP - Is this OK.
Villain has a good idea and runs at 24/20/3.
How is my line here in general? Is the river bet good so we get looked up by ace high? Does anyone check raise these flops or is this just turning our hand into a bluff? pp9 isn't that small. mostly 3Bet preflop.
As played, there's no value on the river, just try to C/C a last barrel. |

I usally 3-bet pre-flop or call with plans to check raise a lot of non A flops.
As played check calling river gets the most value from missed overs like AK, AQ and KQ and smaller pps. |

Re: 100NL - Small pocket pairs OOP - Is this OK.
i dont like the c/c line on the flop. U still dont know where you are in the hand and what happens if an AKQ turn drops. Do you c/f?
I like c/r vs active villain who has a high CB %. Villain looks like said type. I think i donk this too sometimes on this flop with the intention of firing more than 1 barrel. U will get value from lower PPs plus take away the option of giving free cards to overs. |

If we are check raising this flop villain generally only folds worse, so my question is why dont we call with any 2 preflop and then premediate a checkraise? |

To everyone who says 3 bet preflop, with what pocket pairs are we cold calling with from the blinds or is it standard to RR any PP.
Thanks for the help. |

[/ QUOTE ] I think I c/r for value (in part) but mainly to protect my hand, against overs you have 75% equity to showdown. C/r'ing gives villain a chance to put more in the pot with missed overs, yet allows u to still take the hand down on the flop. I dont particularly want to see 5 cards out when im holding a mid PP. C/C'ing just leaves you in no mans land on the turn, and if a high card drops, u may be bluffed off the best hand. |

Re: 100NL - Small pocket pairs OOP - Is this OK.
c/r on a flop like this is garbage unless you're specifically expecting him to bluff you and you're planning on calling a 3bet.
c/c flop, but I'd 3 bet at least 50% preflop against a 24/20 who is going to have a wide CO range. |
