having trouble playing these types of hands on a 10-11BB stack
Scenario: Mid-stages (50-100 or 60-120) you are on the cutoff or button. You have a 10-11BB stack.
I am deep enough to not push but small enough that raising will cost a good chunk of my stack. If I get called and miss completely, do I gamble and shove if checked to? Do i c-bet and commit myself? What if I limp preflop instead? Isn't that a bit too weak-tight? If someone raises, can I really cold call? Please provide some thoughts on how u guys play these hands. 44-77 QJs KQ KJ KT AT A9s - cheers |

Re: having trouble playing these types of hands on a 10-11BB stack
Depending on call ranges and the position we're in, I would never be open raising any of these hands. Either shoving depending on the situation is +ev and -ev. Hands that are neg ev shoves should be mucked obv. 10-11 BB is not too deep to shove. Open raising 3x or 2.5x makes the hand horrible awkward to play. Our cbet would commit us and if we muck (when we whiff the flop) and get raised, we have like no stack left and no FE. There are spots where I would shove that entire listed above range, but in others I would only be shoving like 77...
Cliff notes: Entirely dependent on call ranges, but in general 10-11 BB is not too deep to shove when it's mucked to us in LP. |

Re: having trouble playing these types of hands on a 10-11BB stack
I'm never limping or raising any of those hands, and in most situations I'm shoving all of them with 10-11BBs. That is a good time to be shoving and you are in LP with solid hands.

10-11 is easy you're gonna shove or fold, your gonna be shoving those hands almost every time(some situations you wont). 13-14 is where it gets tough

Or do you think it is wiser to pass it up? |
