A question about M

Hey I was just thinking about what harrington says in his book which I believe is that once you hit M < 5, you should be super aggro to get your money in the middle.

My question is even at an M of 5 you have over 10bbs, and isnt pushing so huge preflop with a much wider range of hands causing your opponents to only call you when you are wayyyyy behind??

I would appreciate some thoughts
