Is Cbetting standard here to push off PPs that may have called preflop? Fold turn ok? |

Re: 25NL: KK on an Acehigh flop. Standard?
I would re-raise him and fold if he pushes. If he calls turn, and checks river, I check behind.
Folding isnt bad either BUT dude its only 2.50...calling is better then folding. If it was a real bet the fold would be ok |

Is Cbetting standard here to push off PPs that may have called preflop? [/ QUOTE ] Why would you want to do this? Just check back on the flop. |

Re: 25NL: KK on an Acehigh flop. Standard?
I c-bet almost always unless they're a big station or a reg I have history with that I think I can extract value from if he has a lesser holding.

Bah, I don't like religious c-betting to the disregard of your hands value. This is a good example of all better hands calling/raising, all worse folding.

Re: 25NL: KK on an Acehigh flop. Standard?
You raised pre, he limp/called; on an A hi flop your raising range crushes the snot out of his limp/calling range. Checking just invites him to bet at your obvious show of weakness or see if you are slowplaying. Any number of turn cards (not this board neccessarily but on Axx) will give you pause and in my eyes if you're just gonna station the hand down because someone checked to you after limp/calling, you're gonna get taken to valuetown (or more likely take yourself to valuetown) by A6o. Checking here with the intention of not calling a bet is just giving up which almost always sucks.
Bet the flop. Give yourself a chance to win the hand. If someone is weak enough to check down 3 streets with you, they're weak enough to fold the flop. |

Re: 25NL: KK on an Acehigh flop. Standard?
I bet the flop as well.
When he leads the turn, i might be done with the hand. This bet is small, but he is still leading into a pf raiser and cbetter. He has the ace in most cases |

Re: 25NL: KK on an Acehigh flop. Standard?
This is all too close either way to be standard. It looks more like he's trying to see if his Q is good and he doesn't want to call a big turn bet. I would call turn just because the bet is small and for metagame. Would you fold A2 here?

Well, all aces are the same except A5, AQ and AK.

Re: 25NL: KK on an Acehigh flop. Standard?
Effen, they can go ahead and "take me to valuetown" with A6 off. I probably don't call two streets. I check-back AT on this flop too (which I do call two streets with). Plus, I'm not talking about checking the hand down. I'm talking about checking flop to induce value. If he has a hand like QJ or TT, there's a good chance he bets the turn to "see where he's at" and then shuts down when called. Even if he doesn't bet at all, he can check-call our bet. Our hand has next to no value when bet.
