Default nl50, TPTK, should i check this turn?

villain is solid TAG 12/6/3 (480 hands)
i was running vpip 24, tho i think this regular probably has a lot of hands on me, plus he's at 2 of my other tables where i am running 38 and 33. I just 3bet him PF 2 hands before this

should i check this turn? I think i am either way behind a set here or splitting with AK.
If i put him AI am i overplaying this hand?

I like checking behind on the turn here. You're splitting with AK, AQ/QQ just pulled ahead of you, and I doubt you're getting value from JJ/TT with 2 overs on the board.

If checking behind, whats the river plan if:
-fired into for 1/2 pot or more?
-checked to?

probably call a 1/2 pot bet on the river, and check again if checked to for the same reason as checking the turn

vb the river if you check the turn. Checking the flop is OK sometimes also to balance when you check w/ KK/QQ/etc (and for deception obv).

What are we getting value from if we bet the river? Are 88/TT/JJ calling?

I guess check the turn but I think if he checks the river it would be a sick spot to bluff. He has AK quite often and won't be checking 2pair or a set again. A river bluff will pick up the otherwise split pot.
I would also consider shoving over a river bet if it looks blockish.
