Default Been a week or so since on of these...

So what was the consensus on this type of hand again? Also does QQ=AA here? Villain is unknown, I've been tight during my few orbits at the table.

Full Tilt Poker, $1/$2 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 5 Players
LeggoPoker Hand History Converter

SB: $256.95
BB: $80
UTG: $531.10
Hero (CO): $186.20
BTN: $309.35

Pre-Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (CO)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7, BTN calls $7, 2 folds

Flop: ($17) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $12, BTN raises to $302.35 and is All-In, Hero?

QQ doesn't = AA here since he could certainly show up with AA/KK. For 100bb though I'd still snap call.

I fold this. If he's willing to risk that much with less than QQ in such a small pot, you'll find a better spot to take his money.

cutoff point is interesting... don't think I'd go as far down as 99. Probably either 10's or JJ depending on how I feel at the moment.

QQ is my cutoff actually (with JJ there are 3 OPs we beat and 3 that beat us)

Thing I've noticed is that when this is done with guys who have smaller buyins, less than 75BB - it's almost always with trash. The couple of times I've seen showdowns from guys who did it with 100+BB buyins, it was monsters.

No real sample size, but that's been my rule. 75BB or less, I snap call. 100+, I give them credit. 75-100 I flip a coin.

that's such a terrible board for him to just shove a set. I don't know what that means in terms of if you should call or not (though I snapcall), I'm just saying.

Gamboool.
I've started calling these for 100BB since the last "big discussion". Amazed by what trash turns up. Last time I called all in overbet from blinds on 245 rainbow board. I had JJ and villain turns over 33.

the JJ hand of yours makes more sense though cuz that's a somewhat legitimate draw he had. meh, I don't have much in vested in the pot though so why call is what I was thinking?
