FTP 15k 50+5 AK NFD w/ TPTK

What is my turn play here? What is he limping with in LP and then smoothcalling my preflop bet? If he does have a 9 here and I bet, he will raise me, and I have to call with 9 outs. If I check raise, he will only call with a 9 that beats me, and I think check raising is bad here. How weak is check calling here?

Better yet, why are you putting him on a 9? You're going to see very similar play from AT-AQ as you described IMO other than maybe raising your bet. I would still lead out here 300 and see what he does. If he raises, call and see the river. If he just smooth calls, I fire again on the river regardless of the card (other than maybe if an 8 rivered)

Because I am only worried about any nine and 88. I feel that is a somewhat scary board, and alot of hands are folding I feel.

bc i sometimes c-bet then c-fold if called. this is perfect time to check and say "im scared of the ace" . yes he may be drawing and im giving him free card. but if he bets i can raise.if the river is ok card and he checks i make a strong river bet and hope he has enough to call.88 99 are only hands i lose to.and i will pay those hands off.

Dude, what? I am in position, and there are alot more hands than 88 and 99 I'm losing to. The only hand he is drawing to is JT. How do you put him on JT?

ok i did not read the info carefully he limped making 99 88 not likely. ace9s ace8s 89s 910s are much more likely as is a small pocket pair or flush draw. so if you are unsure here doesn't checking make sense? you want to check call then i assume. if he checks behind i bet the river.
