88 spikes set on river
Button is the same villain as the QJ 4-straight hand (14/7/1.2)
PokerStars $5/$10 Limit Hold'em - 6 players Hand Converter Tool from DeucesCracked.com Preflop: Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises, MP calls, CO folds, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls. Turn: (6.20 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero checks, Button bets, Hero calls. River: (8.20 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero FWIW, I noticed that the timing of his bets were really quick on both the turn and the river, which I thought was kind of odd. Usually if someone has a FD they will at least consider checking back the turn, and usually if someone doesn't have a flush on the river they won't normally instabet. Re: 88 spikes set on river
Against said villain (well based on his stats at least) I would fold the turn. On the river I think bet/call is best as I'm not convinced a guy this tight will always bet the river here (allowing me to c/r). Of course a lot of this changes if your stats sample size is fairly small.

Re: 88 spikes set on river
Its not that I think he has a flush, but that he may be tempted to think you do. His stats are passive enough that he could check this river behind with just one pair.
I think b/c is probably best as you dont want him to check behind. |
