Default NL50, marginal hand faced with Obvious Blocking bet

I was lost on the turn here, wasn't sure whether to call the turn donk and hope the draws didnt hit or should I raise and try to protect. Pretty sure my raise was too small anyway, but whatever.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($31.70)
MP ($138.70)
Hero ($49.25)
Button ($6.75)
SB ($38.35)
BB ($65.25)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
2 folds, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, SB calls $1.75, 1 fold.

Flop: ($4.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, SB calls $3.

Turn: ($10.50) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $3, Hero raises to $9, SB calls $6.

River: ($28.50) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $4, Hero calls $4.

Final Pot: $36.50

River is an obvious call because of odds and all the missed draws, but what do you guys do on turn?

Get used to these threads, I only 4 table now so I actually have to think about what Im doing ;]

Fold turn. What are you raising to protect with, 3rd pair? Until you get a read that weak donks on the turn indicate a weak hand, I dont like this at all. Im not sure why you think villain cant have a top pair hand here.

Fold turn without a very good read.

Realize if you raise the turn it is a bluff. Unless you have an amazing read on villain.

I would fold the turn. He probably has a weak J or T and, even if you raise him, he's not going to fold. Occasionally you will see a draw here, but even that hand isn't far behind, so I fold.

Are you serious? He has around $22 left into a $36 pot.
Looks like a typical calling station to me.

As played I fold the turn. If you're going to raise I make it about $13/14

Reads on villain would help.

I go $3.25 at least on flop.

Surprised people want to fold turn getting 4/1. Even if we give villain a 15 outer and go with our read that he is drawing, we're gonna be good 60%+ of the time (erm, I think - my maths are hopeless). I'd rather just go with those numbers and flat the turn.

We also need to consider when our read is wrong and he has TP+ (which will be some of the time), betting then isn't often going to fold him out.

I also think this is a small pot hand once we reach the turn. I'd rather let villain draw than bloat up the pot whilst never really being sure what's going on.

river is not an obvious call. dont get hung up on pot odds. he has a T or weak J almost always. as for shoving, you'll get looked up a lot here because he'll put u on a fd or ak or whatever, ime.
