AQ in 3bet pot - minimizing loss

$100nl, 5 handed, assume 100bb eff stacks

Hero has A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the button and open raises to 3.50.

SB (pretty aggro but decent, has 4x buyin) pops to 11, hero calls.

Flop ($23) comes Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. SB bets pot. Hero?

I chose to minraise to $46 and fold to his push.

If you don't wanna get it in on this flop, what were you looking for? I'd minraise and call shove, or I'd call flop and call turn shove.. but there's no way I'm minraise/folding in a 3-bet pot when I called with AQ and flopped tptk.

do you really think i'm ahead if he calls a push? do you really think i'm ahead if he pushes over my minraise?

his range pf is AA-TT, AK, AQ. i just figured that if i minraised, he'd fold TT-JJ and AK. if he pushed over my minraise, i figured i could narrow him down to AA-QQ,AQ. Maybe you can convince me why this is so terrible.

Because you're risking 1/4 of a stack to fold out JJ and TT and AK. You may as well call a 3-bet with 94o and minraise flop hoping to fold out the same hands. You're turning your hand into a bluff unnecessarily.

its bad, because information doesn't buy food. if you think he's only calling your raise with hands that beat you, then its pretty stupid to raise. just call/call.

thx for the tip, though I have an okay winrate one my weakest areas is 3bet pots.
