50NL AKo faces limp rr from the btn
Noobish hand, but limp RR from the BTN?? WTF.
The opponent in this hand was playing 12/5 after 70ish hands, and hadn't reraised once. Obviously super small sample size. Fold. Its slowplayed kings and aces mostly. Better what you see is coinflip against lower pocket.

Re: 50NL AKo faces limp rr from the btn
Ok.. like I said, obvious and noobish.
Now.. take his stats to 23/12. Still easy muck? My point is, what kind of stats does it take for you guys to make this call, if ever? How big a sample? FWIW, he was the 23/12, I was playing 14/10, and made the fold. |

Re: 50NL AKo faces limp rr from the btn
When people start chatting it up in the micros during a hand, they have a goods in my experience. I've seen opponents do this same move with AK, flat a raise preflop then suddenly wake up and are 4 betting AI for no sensible reason. If this is limped, I think I'm calling here. I find that people who limp behind other limpers, then 3bet always seem to have AQ, AK, or a 88-QQ sort of pair.

Re: 50NL AKo faces limp rr from the btn
I haven't seen this online much, but my live experience with players who aren't too good is that they might limp in with a medium PP, then when it gets raised after them they get a rush of blood to the head and shove all their chips in...

[/ QUOTE ] This was specifically what I was thinking. If he hadn't made the table chat, I would have thought a little longer on calling. It's a move I have seen before, but typically when it is a smaller/mid pair doing this, it is a shortstack deciding to take a flip. I couldn't recall a full stacked player taking this line without AA/KK when I thought about it. Table chat has 90%+ meant "I have it", which is what made the decision a bit easier. Villain did show, and I'll post results after some feedback about the guys range. |

Re: 50NL AKo faces limp rr from the btn
Unless he has very high 3bet stats I would fold.
Remember that it is even in NLHE:TAP that you should sometimes limp with AA after limpers. Someone is putting the play to test, this is what I think if a solid player does that. Also, remember that it could be a misclick call on the button and then he got his chance again (I know, not likely but sometimes fun things happen). |
