Re: 25NL KK vs reg. I feel like I butchered this
i think you played it ok, i might c/c river to get to showdown but sometimes i just c/f river, sorta player dependent. i definitely call turn just because you're going to get called by jacks who will bet the turn.

Re: 25NL KK vs reg. I feel like I butchered this
I don't think it's terrible, but the hand shows just how difficult playing KK can be when everything is against you.
I woould raise to 2 or 2.50 preflop, with a close eye on UTG who may may be slowplaying. You are going to be OOP and you need to know where you stand, ideally with just one opponent. As played a lot of weird hands will come along just for the fun of it, including Ax which is the last thing you want. On that flop I might be tempted to try a c/raise, that way at least you have some idea of where you are. If he were to bet 3, I would then raise to maybe 9 and then just shut down if he calls or raises. Otherwise not too bad, the betfold at the end is fine, I just think you needed to put the hand to that kind of test sooner. |

I was seriously considering a c/r on the turn after the weak bet, and looking back I think that might have been a better line. :/

Re: 25NL KK vs reg. I feel like I butchered this
I like the call on that turn getting 4.66:1. I don't think there's much point in c/r, an ace or smaller set turned fh will always call and everything else folds. you want him to try this again with another small bet on the river, or let you both check it down for a free showdown

Raise to $1.75 preflop, 3 limpers, etc.. I don't even like betting the flop. You're turning KK into a bluff. c/r the turn is beyond bad. c/c river, probably c/f. usually a regular is only value betting you here and do you think he's value betting a J or has QQ?

Re: 25NL KK vs reg. I feel like I butchered this
You're not getting any value out of a cbet here, so just check. Any sort of c/r seems gross to me. If you don't think he's betting an ace, c/c river.
