Default I Am Not Good Enough: Game Adjustment Problems.

I'm pretty pissed at myself; I played about as badly as I ever have today. An idea I've had that's been gaining steam: I do not aggro-retarded guys of the 50/17/1.5 variety very effectively. I found myself either totally lost or making decisions that I didn't feel good about time and again in a couple games full of those types today. (Also blew over 100 bets, so go figure.) I'd love to have a session reviewed, but I'll post a few hands for context.

Every player at this game is too loose and has done some very strange [censored] postflop. The player immediately to my right is the worst of the lot; he will call any number of bets with any hand he wants to play preflop and "make it up" with postflop wackiness; bluff-raising / checkraising with any two, slowplaying top pair in a multiway pot with a draw-heavy board to the river, that sort of thing. I simply can't get a read, most of the time, and I keep losing the maximum or throwing away hands completely lost, and I don't much care for it.

(These are homemade; goddamn AP.)

-- Hand One --

Five-handed. Hero is small blind with KdJs.

Fold to button; button calls. Hero raises, BB-Agtard calls, button calls.

FLOP (6 SB): As Ts 7d.

Gutshot, backdoor flush, and given the propensities of my opponents, there's no reason to be too worried about an ace. I figure myself for about 8 outs and bet. Agtard calls, button folds. Agtard's range is any piece of the board, any pocket pair or a draw.

TURN (4 BB): As Ts 7d (7h).

Not sure what to make of the turn card. Hero checks, Agtard bets, Hero calls intending to check-fold without improvement.

RIVER (6 BB) As Ts 7d 7h (Kh).

Hero bets, Agtard calls.

Then check raise him? You mean check call right? Check raising is a big no no

Sick as hell! TY.

--Hand Two--

Absolute Poker

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
2 folds, CO raises, Button folds, Hero 3-bets, BB calls, CO calls.

Cutoff is slightly less agtarded than BB. Attempt to isolate fails, naturally, so now I'm first to act in a three-betted pot with a hand that's less than spectacular. W00t f00lz!

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9SB, 3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets, Hero calls, BB calls.

Once again, we have a nice combination of questionable draws. What are they worth? Five outs total, maybe? This feels very marginal. All I know is that I'll be damned if I'm paying two bets to see the turn, and I have no idea where I'm at.

Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6BB, 3 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, CO checks.

Easy, breezy, Japanesey. I sure wish I wasn't first to act.

River: 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6BB, 3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, CO folds, Hero calls.

I feel the chances that MHIG vs. some stupid stab justify the call.

Results:
Final pot: 8BB

I feel like you wasted a bet against some crappy PP or a missed turn checkraise.

What would have to change about this situation for it to justify a call, in your opinion? Board texture, action, players?

I mainly don't like the turn Q, although I am horrible at calling down with ace high and winning. Almost anything BB would cold call with has to have some piece of this board right?? (Or maybe hes "bluffing" with 88-TT)
