You don't have the evidence necessary to lay this down. imo, you usually have the best hand here when they take this line. Get it all in, make a note.

Also, don't make small bets like that just to fold to a raise. I mean I'd be more likely to fold (but still never doing it) if we had bet $40 and he shoved.

yes i considered this as soon as i made the bet. i think i'd be much happier folding it if i had bet 2/3pot or something. but maybe that would have been a bad idea too.
