Get 'em in there. There's nothing he can have that is a favorite over your pair. There are also dead cards that would be in his straights and a couple of diamonds out.

Pound it.

I know I have to be ahead. Is it reasonable to slow play?

In a tournament a lot of people look for excuses to save chips and get out of hands paying the minimum. Force this guy to pay to see a card. He raised, so he has some kind of hand and will certainly call. If you catch good he might wise up on 4th and you won't get another bet out of him.

Re-raise.

Reraise. Your opponent has KK under and will hit two pair on river.

There is no correct answer in poker. This is a donkament, and I correctly put villain on a resteal. There is so much ante stealing with high cards in tournaments. I figured 8s and spades were dead. He could have a concealed high pair. I just thought there was too much chance he had very little and would fold 4th or 5th if I reraised. Villain actually has the case ace, and assumes I can't have split aces.

Hole cards not shuffled.

My plan here on 3rd was to checkraise 5th. I figure if he has concealed face cards, he probably isn't folding easily and I get more bets in. If he has junk, then I don't scare him away.

It was a joke already.

Many players have difficulty with the concept of "4."

Anyway, why didn't you bet the river?

Villain's play on 3rd may not be that bad. The play is donkaments can be tight, and people will steal with an ace door card even with another ace showing. I kind of was expecting action.

Problem is villain has AQ8 with dead aces and 8s. But it doesn't matter that much if I am on a pure steal.
