$25NL a few AK hands
Before I post the hands, I have a question about multi-tabling. I've got poker tracker and I've got gametime+, but if I'm playing 5+ tables, the numbers and stats for each player gets so confusing on my screen that I have stopped using GT+. As a result, I don't have stats for the opponents in these hands. For other multi tablers out there, how do you manage to do this?
...and now to the AK hands: 1) I am on the fence about reraising this out of position. I think I probably should have, but that gets me in trouble alot too. Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $25.20 UTG+1: $14.35 MP1: $23.60 MP2: $4.65 MP3: $25 Button: $25.05 Hero: $26.35 BB: $24.25 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is Small Blind with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $0.75</font>, Hero calls. (Should I reraise here?) It's really draw heavy, so if I fire a bet off here, I still have no idea where I stand on the turn/river Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 7 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $16 UTG+1: $5 MP1: $23.90 CO: $24.15 Button: $44.55 Hero: $21.80 BB: $5.65 Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $0.75</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, BB folds, Button calls. Re: $25NL a few AK hands
Get PokerAceHUD. It will cost $25 and it overlays the PT stats on the individual tables.
1) 3bet PF 2) I cbet here and shut it down if i don't hit. 3) Standard 4) If you are going to call the flop, you have to call the river. |

Re: $25NL a few AK hands
Hand 1: I reraise preflop. I check-raise (if I c-r) more. Turn is o.k. IMO. River - oh well. Being out of position really sucks. Would anyone try to check-raise (as opposed to betting out) a very strong hand here? We are basicaly telling him what we have. Not a good thing if he is apt to bluff a proper % of the time. But I donīt know the answer.

Re: $25NL a few AK hands
I agree with 1-3, but do you really think that calling is absolutely necessary on hand 4?
He's either got nothing or he's got something big. As the river card is scary, I can't see him pot betting a missed draw often enough for a call to be profitable. I felt like he was either doing some strange stop and go with trip queens or that he hit a straight with T9. Either way, I didn't think I was good 1/3 of the time. Can you please explain your logic for why I should be calling this river? |
