J8s flopped nice
Notice stacks. Villans are tards.
Opener (UTG in the main hand) is a poor player. He's passive and plays very strange. Here is a hand I played vs. the opening villan: (PF was misclick, he is CO and mucked J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]) Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 6 players Converter Stack sizes: orange: $411.10 UTG+1: $287.50 CO: $427.50 Button: $453.30 SB: $128 BB: $92.50 Pre-flop: (6 players) orange is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] orange raises to $4, UTG+1 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB calls. Flop: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($17, 4 players) BB checks, orange bets $17, CO calls, 2 folds. Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($51, 2 players) orange bets $49, CO calls. River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($149, 2 players) orange bets $110, CO calls. Results: Final pot: $369 orange Shows As 10s villan mucks J9o no spade So he's not very good and peels lightly. The cold caller (Button in main hand) is not good either. He is actually the main villan and is super super aggro. He is like 80/30 over a small sample and doesnt ever fold. He was my target on another table. Here is a hand I played vs. him on another table: (He is CO): Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $236.46 Button: $290 SB: $402.25 orange: $476.02 Pre-flop: (4 players) orange is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Button raises to $8, SB folds, orange calls. Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($17, 2 players) orange bets $12, Button calls. Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($41, 2 players) orange bets $30, Button calls. River: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($101, 2 players) orange bets $70, Button calls. Results: Final pot: $241 orange Shows Qd Kd Villan mucks Q8o and here is one more hand vs. previous villan on the other table- as stated earlier, he never folds: MP miniraises pf, villan re-miniraises to $8, MP calls. Flop J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], MP bets $10, villan's miniraises $20, MP calls. turn 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] MP check/calls villan's $30 bet. river J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] MP check/calls villan's $55 bet and wins with QJ against villan's K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] hand in question: Hero has been playing fairly taggy, really not too loose of an image. I doubt these guys are noticing, but I'm trying to isoraise both. Absolute Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $349.90 Button: $350.95 orange: $664.05 BB: $169.45 Pre-flop: (4 players) orange is SB with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG raises to $6, Button calls, orange calls, BB folds. Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($20, 3 players) orange bets $20, UTG calls, Button calls. Turn: 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($80, 3 players) orange bets $60, UTG folds, Button calls. River: 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($200, 2 players) orange bets $120, Button raises to $240, orange calls. is it standard? how do you play other streets? do you like c/r-ing the flop due to relative position? do you like c/c-ing the turn ever? how about the river, easy shove or call? thanks. |

Re: J8s flopped nice
Looks good. Orange, what are your thoughts on c.r the turn? C.C? Are you folding to a raise on the turn?

Re: J8s flopped nice
I don't really like c/r as much on the turn. I think that c/c is better- I'll still get paid if I hit and I have like...0 FE when I do c/r a blank turn.

Re: J8s flopped nice
This seems to be a pretty standard call. he hasn't been showing any aggression with one pair. i think its unlikely he has just trips 4s, so i think his range consists mostly of flushes and occasionally slowplayed sets that filled up (unlikely), some flushes we beat, some we dont so i call.
othewise, line looks good. |

Re: J8s flopped nice
having 0 FE is fine if you have lots of equity in a 3way pot.

Re: J8s flopped nice
yeh turn bet doesnt make much sense when they apparently dont fold any pair ever.
