(12) K7 in the BB, line check?
This is a hand I was confused about, it's not good enough to push preflop, but how is the best way to play this post flop?

Re: (12) K7 in the BB, line check?
fine.
potcontrol and a nice valuebet on the river. you are oop and have toppair weak kicker, going for pot control with 2 more players is a good line. |

I like the flop and river a lot. The turn is a close call though. I guess when he min bets you still figure to have the best hand.

Re: (12) K7 in the BB, line check?
Why so weak on the flop! I'm putting in SOMETHING on the flop - no one else wants it and at this stage everyone is in their shell.
TAKE that pot! Seems weak the way it was played. Now is the time to get aggressive. IF someone goes over you, fine, get off but the table seems weak and timid in their risk aversion mode. Blinds are t120 - Take that bull by the horns!!! This is a hand many multi table players mess up on by playing weak. |

Checking the flop and reevaluating is better then bet/fold. Also we may still win the pot unimproved and the board is reasonably dry. |

Line looks fine although I'd consider betting the flop for t200

Re: (12) K7 in the BB, line check?
OK - let's say you don't bet the flop.
SB bets and you call. It feels to me that you are spinning your wheels. Why call. you get no information at all on a call and Button gets in free with better odds. I would have raised SB and reevaluate after that. does not have to be a big raise but let's start to control things a little. Lets say you raise another 120. You gain a ton of information on ANYTHING that happens. Another 120 is a small price to pay for the amount of info you will get. OR - since you are getting blinded - push it right now! Now is not the time to get timid. Too many players and you are getting short stacked, if you don't gamble now you might not have a chance. But - it could massive amounts of my morning coffee talking! |
